An Evening of the Music of Iran
The Daneshvar Ensemble with soloists Sarang Amirtabar and Payam Khastkhodaie, and eight additional musicians perform selections for traditional Persian string instruments, percussion, and voice, as well as piano and guitar.
The well-known Daneshvar Ensemble consists of two brothers and a sister: Babak on barbat(lute) and santoor(hammered dulcimer), Parvaneh on robab (lute), and Behnam on tonbak (goblet drum).
